It's About Time!

What does one say in their first blog post? It is 2023 and we have finally added online sales to our website and going forward with plans to have a greater presence on social media.  In 1994 we maxed out 7 credit cards, built a 200 sqft kiosk in our garage, bought about $15,000 worth of mostly unbranded watches from a wholesaler out of Miami and handed over our first months rent and a security deposit I would not see again until just last year when we closed our mall location for good.  After 10 years in the Marine Corps it was either stay for 10 more then retire or try something else that would allow me to be present as my kids grew up.  When the opportunity to start our own retail business came around we dove in head first.   Somehow our little watch business made it through the ups and downs of good and bad economies, the internet, and more hiccups than I can count.  Along the way we became the area's destination for watch repair.  Times @ Hand is Wilmington's sole watch only store. Unfortunately the labor shortage forced us to close our original location at the Independence mall last year, but we have repurposed much of our former kiosk and have more than doubled the retail space of our showroom in Porters Neck. If you haven't been by in awhile stop in and see all the changes.
